About me
I am a British born writer of speculative fiction, especially political fantasy, military fantasy, and flintlock fantasy. My writing is inspired by my love of and background in history, international relations, and political science.
Raised in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, on the outskirts of London, I moved to Maastricht in the Netherlands when I was 18, studying at Maastricht University until I graduated with an MA in European Studies specialising in International Relations. My girlfriend and I continue to live in Maastricht after out recent graduations.
My own love of reading began too early to remember, but it was Terry Pratchett who I loved above all others, and him who first made me think I could take a crack at this writing business myself. Most of my writing is set within the same secondary world, be that novels or short fiction. You can find that short fiction here, a new story released every month, along with perhaps some blogs and updates on how my publishing attempts are progressing and links to my twitter (click on the little icon below), where I have been known to talk about books, politics, history, and whatever else comes to mind.
